Senior QA Automation Tester

WebCreek is hiring a Senior QA Automation Tester to join our team and contribute to the quality, reliability, and performance of critical applications. This role goes beyond traditional QA. You will play a key part in both test automation and production support, helping ensure that issues are not only identified early, but also resolved effectively when they arise.
We are looking for someone with a strong QA foundation, hands-on automation experience, and the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and support live systems in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
What You’ll Do
- Design and execute manual and automated test strategies for web, mobile and desktop applications in an Agile environment
- Develop, maintain, and optimize automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript
- Perform exploratory, sanity, smoke, regression, and integration testing
- Conduct backend database testing in Microsoft SQL, including validation of stored procedures, jobs, and triggers
- Map requirements to test cases to ensure full coverage and report test results
- Act as Tier 2 support for production issues, taking ownership of investigation and driving resolution of complex problems
- Triage, reproduce, and diagnose client-reported issues in collaboration with support and engineering teams
- Analyze logs, database records, and system behavior to identify root causes
- Manage defects end-to-end, including clear documentation, reproducibility, and communication of findings and resolutions
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables meet functional and design specifications throughout the Software Development Life Cycle
What You Have
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a QA Analyst
- Experience with test automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium
- Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript for writing and maintaining automated tests
- Strong experience executing manual test cases
- Experience testing web, mobile and desktop applications, including cross-browser compatibility
- Strong understanding of QA best practices and SDLC processes
- Experience troubleshooting and analyzing issues in complex systems
- Strong English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with international teams and support client-facing scenarios
- Strong attention to detail
Nice to Have
- Experience with Azure DevOps
- Experience investigating production issues or supporting live systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
